    THE NIBELUNGEN MARCH     

Performed at a memorial concert held in 2003 for ROH timpanist Alan Taylor MBE, the Wind Band of the ROH Orchestra takes just four minutes to get through the 'bullet points' of Wagner's Ring Cycle.  Conducted by Sir Edward Downes, the arrangement by Bayreuth bandmaster Gottfried Sonntag can be viewed here (opens in a new window)  For the whole concert, see below.

    MEMORIAL CONCERTS    

Over the years, distinguished colleagues and friends sadly leave us for the great opera house in the sky.   The memorial concerts held at Covent Garden given in their honour pay testimony to the great respect in which they were held.
